HIGHTYDE
Back when I was a baby
maybe I was only two
so impatient, maybe, if I only knew
that in a few years I'd grow up big and strong
develop skills so I could just sing a song
sing along with me now, if you feel the vibe
once upon a time I was stealing rhymes
from other guys who were, trying to make it big
immature, yeah, guess it was a baby thing
now I think, way back, like when I was six
it was my, own mind, I was fighting with
Always cold simply cause I was an only child
I stand as a grown man, lonely now
jump ahead to when I was ten
I wrote a few tracks when I was sad, must've been
the train the track, that I should be on
cause see God was the
only man who looked beyond and said
HIGHTYDE
You were a baby then, a grown up now
and everyone is talking 'bout
how you achieved all your dreams and goals
and even though you died, your music, keeps us close

HIGHTYDE
Ryan--Rodney, Patricia Evans' child
wasn't for 'em wouldn't be here where I'm at right now
and it's a long way, coming from nothing man
so when you fall down, pick yourself up and then
brush your clothes off, make sure you're spic and span
I almost feel like I am a kid again
and I have got news for you, it's true, I'm back
I turn 2-5 in February, that's
a little fact that nobody knows but me
How old do you think I am supposed to be?
No matter what age, you're still a baby too
the two people who gave birth to you
I call em family, plus they're great, I bet
they even helped you to take your baby steps
now you're all grown, you should take a chance
remember back when you were in baby pants

and as a baby, I wasn't crazy
I was lazy until the year '89
I began making all kinda rhymes and beats
but supper time wasn't a time to eat
it was a time when we put aside
our differences, we'd sit and discuss our lives
and as a baby, I can remember when
our get togethers would never end
and everything would just fall in place
I'd sing my songs, the family was all amazed
and they would give me a gift to carry
a gift that gives back, a dictionary
and so I used it when I was like
"Ooh I need other words to insert in my verse, indeed"
so I thank you with blood and sweat
my tears are gone
and though it sounds rediclous, I bet that
HIGHTYDE
